Lieutenant Ezra Salomon was born and raised in Napa, California and moved to Stockton right out of high school. Ezra Salomon enrolled into Delta College and obtain his associates degree and was hired by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office in 2006 as a Correctional Officer. In December of 2007, he was sent to the Police academy and became a Deputy Sheriff. In 2009 he became a member of the San Joaquin County SWAT team where he has spent the last 11 and a half years as an operator and team leader. While in Patrol, he was a Field Training Officer, an Explorer Advisor, and a member of the Honor Guard team. He also holds many instructor level certificates which include Firearms/Rifle/Sub Machine Gun Instructor, Defensive Tactics and Impact weapons instructor, Rappel Master Instructor, Chemical Agents, and Specialty Impact Munitions Instructor, Diversionary Device Instructor, Academy Certified Instructor, First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, Report Writing Instructor, Tactical Communications Instructor, Principle Policing Instructor, Racial Profiling Instructor, Crisis Intervention Behavioral Health Instructor, Principles of De-escalation Instructor. He has used these instructor certificates to assist in department-wide training. In 2016, Ezra Salomon promoted to the rank of Sergeant and was assigned to Professional Standards Division where he worked with Backgrounds, CCWs, Risk Management, Policy Development, Public Information Unit, and Training to name a few assignments. In August 2020, Ezra Salomon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and is currently assigned to the Patrol Division as a graveyard Watch Commander.
